Home-made Granola

(makes about 2kg)

125g butter

50ml olive oil

200ml honey

5ml vanilla essence

500g oats (½ box)

100ml sunflower seeds

100ml flaked almonds

250ml bran

125ml chopped dried fruit (apples, sultanas,

apricots, etc.)

100ml pumpkin seeds

Heat the oven to 180°C. Melt the butter, oil and honey

in a saucepan and add the vanilla

Spread all the remaining ingredients in a large baking dish.

Pour over the butter mixture and mix well.

Bake for ±15 minutes until the granola grains are crisp an

d light brown. Stir occasionally.
