Madeleines


Ingredients

2 large eggs 166ml sugar

5ml vanilla 2.5ml grated lemon rind or

15ml lemon juice 250ml flour

5ml baking powder

150g butter, melted

Icing sugar

Method

1. Preheat oven to 190C. Grease a Madeleine cake pan.

2. Beat eggs. Add sugar, vanilla, lemon rind and salt.

3. Mix in sifted flour. Gradually add melted butter. Mix well.

4. Allow 1 tablespoon batter for each Madeleine.

5. Spoon gently into Madeleine pan.

6. Bake for approx. 15 minutes, or until golden. Sprinkle icing sugar over cooled Madeleine Cake



Bestandele

2 groot eiers 166 ml suiker

5 ml vanielje 2.5 ml gerasperde suurlemoenskil of

15 ml suurlemoensap 250 ml meel

5 ml bakpoeier

150 g botter, gesmelt

Versiersuiker


Metode

1. Verhit oond tot 190 °C. Smeer 'n Madeleine-koekpan.

2. Klits eiers. Voeg suiker, vanielje, suurlemoenskil en sout by.

3. Meng gesifte meel in. Voeg gesmelte botter geleidelik by. Meng goed.

4. Laat 1 eetlepel beslag vir elke Madeleine toe.

5. Skep saggies in die Madeleine-pan.

6. Bak vir ongeveer 15 minute, of totdat dit goudbruin is. Strooi versiersuiker oor afgekoelde Madeleine-koek.
